Richard Perkins was appointed to the GTA Board in 2020.

Richard has worked in the grain industry for a range of Australian and international trading companies for over 20 years. Richard began his career with Agracom before moving to Melbourne to manage grain and oilseed export trading for a European company. He later helped establish the Australian trading arm of US-based co-op CHS, finishing as Trading Manager, before joining Market Check to oversee its grower advisory team and growth strategy.

Richard is now Managing Director of Greenoaks Agriculture, a grain marketing consultant and broker working with participants across the grain supply chain.

Richard has a Bachelor in Agricultural Systems, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance Completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
