Simon Tickner was appointed to the GTA Board in October 2018 as a Special Qualifications Director.

Simon is the owner of a dryland, broadacre grain farming enterprise, Yellow Grain Pty Ltd based in the Wimmera, Victoria. Simon has extensive knowledge of modern agronomic production systems, which focus on profit, risk management and sustainability, operating in a highly variable climate.

Simon has a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Melbourne and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course – GAICD
