1. Purpose

It is with much sadness we share with you that Tim Krause, an Australian grain industry leader, passed away unexpectedly thisweek.

2. Background

Tim had a 40 year career in the grain industry which started in the poultry sector with Golden Poultry followed by Inghams. He then held roles with Kelly & Sons and Lief Grain, established his own business, Blue Sky exports, before joining AusBulk in 2000. This began his long and successful career with AusBulk, ABB Grain and Viterra separated into two parts by time at Elders in a trading manager role.

At Viterra, Tim held roles in trading, transport and logistics, strategy and compliance, storage and handling and overseeing operations before being appointed Regional Director Australia and New Zealand.

Tim retired in 2021 and his legacy lives on in the Viterra business in the efficiency and safety of its network and through the many employees he supported and mentored in his time.

Our deepest sympathies are with Tim’s wife, Sue, their children, Holly and Jack and family and friends.

Tim was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
