Simon Tickner was appointed to the GTA Board in October 2018 as a Special Qualifications Director. Simon sits on the GTA Commerce Committee & GTA Standards Committee.

Simon is the owner of a dry land, broad acre grain farming enterprise, Yellow Grain Pty Ltd based in the Wimmera, Victoria. The business has a strong focus on the grain supply chain, specifically around the production, storage and marketing of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and fodder. Simon has extensive knowledge of modern agronomic production systems, which focus on profit, risk management and sustainability, operating in a highly variable climate.

Simon chairs the South East Australia Barley Advisory Council and is a former Deputy Chair of the Wimmera Economic Development Association.
