Geoff Farnsworth was appointed to the GTA Board in October 2002 as a Director with Special Qualifications.

Geoff is an international independent Arbitrator and Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in navigating complex cross-border disputes.

Appointed as arbitrator and tribunal secretary in maritime, trade, commodities and transport disputes, Geoff regularly acts as counsel in international arbitrations. Geoff is recognised globally for expertise in shipping, admiralty, agribusiness and energy disputes, with deep procedural knowledge, strong case management capability and commercially grounded decision-making.

Geoff has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts.
