DISTRIBUTION: GTA Members – primary contact list. Please circulate to all appropriate internal parties

1. Purpose

Grain Trade Australia’s (GTA) Five Under 30 program is back for 2026/27, providing emerging grain professionals with the opportunity to gain mentorship, professional development and greater exposure to the Australian grain industry.

2. Background

Launched in 2023, Five Under 30 recognises and supports early-career professionals while encouraging greater participation in GTA’s work and broader industry activities.

Each year, five individuals under the age of 30 are selected for a 12-month program featuring targeted mentoring, professional development and opportunities to build industry connections.

The program supports a diverse and inclusive grain industry by encouraging applications from individuals with different backgrounds, experiences and geographic locations across the grain value chain.

3. Selection process

Participants are selected based on merit, with consideration given to a range of factors including gender, background, industry experience and regional representation to support a balanced and representative cohort.

4. How to apply and further information

Applications for the 2026/27 program are open to eligible individuals from GTA Member organisations who are under the age of 30 at the time of application.
