TOPIC: GTA Location Differentials – Round 1 Nominations and Submissions 2025/26

DISTRIBUTION: GTA Members – primary contact list. Please circulate to all appropriate internal parties.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Member Update is to seek GTA Member input and submissions into the 2025/26 GTA Location Differentials (LD) development.

2. Background

The GTA Commerce Committee is responsible for the development and ongoing review of the commercial instruments used by the grain trade, including GTA LDs. The current GTA Location Differentials can be found on the GTA website.

3. Nominations – New Site Location Differential Allocations or Removal

The GTA Commerce Committee is calling for nominations for any new grain storage facilities requiring a GTA LD value for the 2025/26 season. Likewise, nominations for the removal of a GTA LD from the schedule for the coming season are also invited. All additions, and amendments can be requested using the GTA LD Site Nomination Form.

GTA advises storage owners, and /or operators to nominate any required GTA LD changes to existing, or new grain storage and handling sites in the first submissions. Nominations will close at the end of May 2025 for the 2025/26 GTA LD list.

4. Submissions – Issues with current Location Differentials

The GTA Commerce Committee is also calling for GTA Members to submit any issues in relation to the current 2024/2025 GTA LD list.

5. Special Notes

Sites currently listed with a GTA LD are not required to be re-nominated as all 2024/25 sites will be re-listed in the coming 2025/26 season. GTA will assume all information from 2024/2025 is to remain as-is unless otherwise advised.

Only GTA Members have the option to nominate their sites for a GTA LD. Any sites, large or small, rail or road, are eligible for a GTA LD.

GTA members must also formally nominate to withdraw a site from the GTA LD schedule. GTA Members are also requested to advise GTA if they notice any changes in the GTA LD schedule that may need further verification.

6. Submissions and Site Nominations

All industry feedback is required by Friday 4 April 2025 and should be forwarded to submissions@graintrade.org.au.

Please note: all site nominations should be received using the pro-forma as attached. All other submissions should be presented via the Submission to a GTA Technical Committee form on the GTA website.
