AGIC 2026 marked the inaugural AGIC Week, expanding the conference beyond the traditional two-day program. Creating new opportunities for international engagement and industry collaboration.

As a member of the Trade Diversification Network (TDN), GTA partnered with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) to deliver AGIC Week 2026. Showcasing the strength, quality and reliability of Australia’s grains, pulses and oilseeds industry while strengthening relationships across key international markets.

The week welcomed nearly 60 international delegates from China, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam, including a delegation from GTA’s counterpart organisation in China, the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products (CFNA). GTA also welcomed a delegation from Pakistan, supported by the High Commission of Pakistan and GTA, further expanding engagement with Australia’s key export markets.

Supported by Austrade and Global Victoria, the International Delegate Days program included a technical visit to Horsham, where delegates toured leading grain industry facilities, including InterGrain, JK Milling and Nufarm Seeds. The program provided firsthand insights into advanced plant breeding, seed production, grain processing and large-scale grain receival systems.

On Friday, the international delegates’ tour concluded at the Port of Geelong. Hosted by GrainCorp, delegates gained insights into bulk vessel loading, conveyor terminal operations and high-capacity grain storage bunkers. The visit included the facility, looking at exporting in containers. Together, the visits showcased Australia’s grain production systems, storage infrastructure and export supply chain, highlighting the strength, quality and reliability of Australia’s grains, pulses and oilseeds industry.

AGIC Week also featured the Austrade International Delegate & Exporter Business Matching Breakfast, creating opportunities for Australian exporters and international delegates to build new connections and strengthen existing trading relationships.

The introduction of AGIC Week reflects GTA’s commitment to supporting trade diversification, strengthening international partnerships and showcasing Australia’s grain industry to customers from around the world.
