Regions Defined

Point of delivery is often referred to as a region. To avoid misunderstanding of the border of a region the Commerce Committee working with the relevant state merchant association defined the following regions.

These defined regions are accepted on contracts unless the region is otherwise defined. These definitions are not specially defined in the Trade Rules and took effect from 19 April 2005

Victoria - received from GIAV

Melbourne
Melbourne including Werribee, Lara, Pakenham, Clyde, Dandenong, Sunshine

Goulburn Valley
Refers to all locations bounded by, Echuca, Colbinabbin Murchison, Dookie, St James, Tungamah, Katamatite and direct north to Murray River and back to Echuca.(also include delivery to locations 5km from this list)
Note:  Goulburn Valley does not include Bendigo, Peechelba, and or Cohuna)

West Gippsland
Refers to all locations West of a line from Leongatha to Moe in Gippsland. All locations East of this line are outside the Zone.

East Gippsland
East of a line from Moe to Leongatha including Sale and Maffra.

Western Districts
Western Districts is a wide zone from West to East and should be defined at time of contract. 

Western Australia – received from GIAWA

The trade use the CBH‘s shipping/export zones when referring to areas as follows:

  • Geraldton Zone 
  • Kwinana Zone
  • Albany Zone
  • Esperance Zone

Queensland – received from Queensland Agricultural Merchants

Brisbane
A 35 km radius from Captain Bishop Bridge, Fisherman’s Islands, Brisbane; limited on the northern side by the Pine River.

 

New South Wales – received from Grain NSW

  2. Griffith Region
  3. Liverpool Plains Region
