DISTRIBUTION: GTA Members – primary contact list. Please circulate to all appropriate internal parties.

1. Purpose

To advise GTA Members of the GTA Chair’s intention to retire at the October 2025 Annual General Meeting.

2. Background

The GTA Chair, Mr Andrew Goyder, has advised the GTA Board of his intention to retire at the 2025 AGM. Mr Goyder has been Chair of GTA since October 2018. This followed 4 years as an elected Director (nominated by Level C Members) on the GTA Board.

Under the GTA Constitution, the position of Chair of the GTA Board is appointed each year by the elected GTA Directors (usually at the Board meeting immediately following the Annual General Meeting). The Board generally appoints an “independent” Chair as a “Special Qualifications” Director. Special Qualifications Directors are appointed on a 12-month basis.

3. Next Steps

GTA will undertake an appropriate process to identify a suitable candidate for the position of Chair of GTA Board of Directors. GTA wishes to acknowledge and thank Mr Goyder for his leadership and exemplary service and contribution to GTA and the Australian grain industry.
