Grain Trade Australia (GTA) is pleased to announce the graduation of five emerging leaders from the second year of its Five Under 30 leadership development program. Designed to strengthen the future of the Australian grain industry, the program provides participants with targeted mentorship, industry engagement, and practical learning experiences.
Over the past 12 months, participants have developed professional capabilities and confidence, with highlights including participation in GTA Committees, the Australian Grain Storage and Protection Conference 2025, AGIC 2025, and hosting Young Professionals Networking Events. The program continues to deliver long-lasting benefits for both participants and the organisations they represent.
We congratulate the following 2024-2025 Five Under 30 Program graduates:
Reflecting on her Five Under 30 experience, one of the 2024-2025 graduates, Nikki Fleming, said:
“It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others who are equally passionate about the future of our industry. From the outset, everyone was exceptionally welcoming and supportive, creating an environment in which myself and the other 5U30 participants felt truly valued and encouraged.”
GTA CEO Pat O’Shannassy congratulated the 2024/25 graduates:
“These graduates represent the future of the Australian grain industry. The insights and connections they’ve gained through the program will not only benefit their own careers but also contribute to the strength and resilience of the wider supply chain. The success of this year’s participants highlights the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders. Their contributions will help ensure the Australian grain industry remains competitive, collaborative, and well-positioned for the future.”
The Five Under 30 program underlines GTA’s commitment to investing in the next generation of talent and ensuring a sustainable, forward-looking grain supply chain. By equipping young professionals with critical skills, networks, and exposure, the initiative fosters innovation and continuity of leadership across the sector.
The 2025/26 Five Under 30 program will launch on 30 October, with the announcement of the new participants to follow shortly.
