Industry Update

Exporters should be aware that the Indonesian Government has been issuing non-compliance notifications on consignments that do not comply with its import documentation requirements.

The Indonesian import documentation requirements to be adhered to are:

• the phytosanitary certificate to be issued no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary inspection, and
• the consignment to depart Australia no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary certificate is issued.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in stranded consignments.
