Grain Trade Australia’s (GTA) Five Under 30 program, the leadership development initiative for emerging grain professionals, is returning for 2025–2026, with applications now open.
Now in its third year, the program offers early‑career professionals across the Australian grain industry the opportunity to gain mentorship, industry exposure and leadership development. Launched in 2023, Five Under 30 recognises and supports emerging leaders while encouraging greater participation in GTA’s work and broader industry activities.
Each year, five individuals under the age of 30 and from GTA Member organisations, at the time of application, are selected for a 12‑month program that includes targeted mentoring, professional development and opportunities to build networks across the grain supply chain. A key focus is inclusion and diversity, with applications encouraged from individuals with different backgrounds, experiences and locations.
Participants are chosen on merit, with consideration given to gender, background, industry experience and regional representation to ensure a balanced and representative cohort.
